Invisalign®

Invisalign is a clear aligner set made from a flexible thermoplastic material, which fit tightly over your teeth to help correct a variety of alignment and bite problems.

What does Invisalign® help with?

Invisalign can be used for a number of purposes, primarily crowding and spacing issues between your teeth, as well as some mild and moderate bite issues. If you have crowded or gap teeth, an overbite or underbite, or other problems with your teeth not aligning, then Invisalign may be the solution for you.

How does Invisalign® work?

The first step is create a 3D image of your mouth and jaw. We’ll use this to create a plan for moving your teeth into the desired position.

The Centennial Dental team will then use that plan to create a series of Invisalign aligners for you to wear. These aligners will apply pressure to your teeth, which will gradually shift your teeth into place over time.

On average, you will switch out your set of Invisalign aligners for a new set every couple of weeks. It will be important to wear the aligners for at least 22 hours per day for them to be effective. The Invisalign aligners must be removed when eating or drinking, brushing and flossing, or when cleaning the Invisalign aligners.

Why should I choose Invisalign®?

Invisalign aligners are much less noticeable than the wires and brackets of traditional braces, and can be easily removed when necessary. Thanks this this, cleaning your teeth remains the same before as you can then brush and floss as normal.

It may be a good option for you if you don’t have a complicated bite or crowding issue, and if having a less visible treatment than braces is preferred. Contact us today to see if Invisalign is a good choice for you or your teen.
